Determined Women of God Community Group, affectionately known as, D.W.O.G.,

  was founded by Sonya L. Edwards in 2017.  D.W.O.G. is a community-based

  organization operating in the city of Philadelphia.  Their members range in ages

  from as young as 10, to our most senior member, who is 79 years young.

  Our strategic plan is to reach as many people who are in need of a hand up and not

  a handout; to be a local resource, a light in the community.  By providing

  knowledge based resources, food and clothing to those in need, every month.

  Our youth programs are designed to engage, enlighten and promote civic and

  community pride.  The D.W.O.G. popup clothing closet distributes, FREE, new and

  gently used clothing to families in need, shelters and the homeless population.

Our Vision:

  OneAnothering - We are the light in this dark world; through love, humility and the

  "pay-it-forward" mentality, we can unify a community and support one-another; as

  said in the old African proverb, "It takes a village to raise a child," and to the glory

  of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. (Matthew 5:16)
